Hola, mi nombre es Sandra. Estoy felizmente casada y soy la orgullosa madre de cinco hijos. Durante Covid, trabajé como au pair y apoyé el desarrollo del lenguaje de un recién nacido y un niño de tres años.
He aprendido el valor de la paciencia, la compasión y el respeto mientras enseñaba personas que viven con discapacidad intelectual. A pesar de que he estado enseñando en la escuela primaria durante 12 años, cada día es diferente y emocionante. Creo firmemente que el futuro del mundo está en manos de los niños que enseñamos.
Hoy en día, poder comunicarse en inglés juega un papel crucial en su educación. Es increíble que tenga la oportunidad de enseñar a niños de todo el mundo. Puedo trabajar con los estudiantes uno a uno. Me gusta hacer las lecciones personalizadas para satisfacer las necesidades de cada niño, y que su crecimiento se muestre de clase en clase. Los estudiantes están en casa y en su zona de confort. Muestran sus juguetes, sus mascotas y sus hermanos. Comparto mi idioma y ellos comparten su cultura. Ambos nos vamos como ganadores.

Hello, my name is Sandra. I’m happily married and the proud mother of five children. During Covid, I worked as an au pair and supported the language development of a newly born and a three-year-old.
I’ve learned the value of patience, compassion, and respect while teaching people living with intellectual disabilities. Even though I’ve been teaching Elementary School for 12 years, every day is different and exciting. I firmly believe that the future of the world lies in the hands of the children we teach.
Today, being able to communicate in English plays a crucial role in their education. It blows my mind that I have the opportunity to teach children around the world. I get to work with students one-on-one. I enjoy making the lessons custom to meet the needs of each child, and their growth is clear from class to class. The students are at home and in their comfort zone. They show off their toys, their pets, and their siblings. I share my language and they share their culture. We both walk away as winners.
